Monticello welcomes new high-school staff member who will support ALP and online programs

Superintendent Eric Olsen introduced new high-school staff member Cammie Dahlstrom at the Monticello Public School District board meeting on Aug. 18, saying she has already begun meeting staff and will oversee work related to the district’s ALP and online offerings.
Dahlstrom introduced herself to the board: "My name is Cammy Delstrom. I come into Monticello with this is my 20 third year in education," and summarized a background of classroom teaching in science and several years as an assistant principal. She said she has coached extracurricular sports and described family ties that require a longer commute from Independence in the Orono School District.
Olsen said high-school principals report Dahlstrom has "dug right in" since joining the district and the board welcomed her with a small ceremony and a welcome gift. Dahlstrom said she looks forward to "meeting each and every one of you" and building relationships with students and families as she helps integrate the online and ALP programs into the high-school experience.
No formal actions were taken related to the hire at the meeting.
