Resident requests analog meter option and suggests bulk-water idea at Addison meeting

Olive Kaiser of 427 South Lincoln Street addressed the board during audience participation on Nov. 4 to request the option of using an analog (non-transmitting) meter. Kaiser said that her current meter "is not transmitting" and that she and others would be willing to read the meter themselves, submit readings and pay extra if necessary.
"I would just like to ask that we have an analog meter now. It's not transmitting. And, we're happy to read the meter and turn in the numbers," Kaiser said. She suggested the village create a website where residents could register, receive reminders, input meter readings and upload a photo of the meter to verify entries, and potentially receive a bill through that portal.
Kaiser also said she had acquired a large used tank (transcript text: "255 75 gallon tank") formerly used for vegetable oil and asked whether the village could sell or deliver bulk water to residents who choose that option. She acknowledged that others may not want to pursue such arrangements but said some residents would be interested.
