Addison board approves consent agenda, raises business-license fines and OKs equipment purchases

The consent agenda vote, which included these directives along with other consent items, passed on a roll call with Trustees Del Rosario, Nasti, O'Brien, Reyes and Deputy Mayor Hundley recorded as 'Yes.'
Officials awarded Bid No. 24-9-1 for cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) sewer lining to VISU Sewer of Illinois LLC of Bridgeview for a not-to-exceed amount of $40,395, funded from account 500.5031-4180. Ryan, a Public Works representative, told the board the work covers about 1,077 lineal feet of sanitary sewer along Wrightwood, Lake Manor and Lenoir and noted the village has worked with VISU Sewer previously.
The board also authorized the purchase of a 2025 Peterbilt Model 548 cab and chassis from JX Truck Center and a supplemental equipment package from Henderson Products for a combined total of $284,060.41, funded from account 640.99964-4347, to replace a 2010 International truck.
On land-use and code matters, the board adopted a plat of resubdivision for 330 South Fairbank Street, approved amendments to the zoning code addressing dollar stores, thrift stores and tobacco stores, and adopted an ordinance authorizing disposal of surplus equipment.
Separately, the board adopted an amendment to Chapter 10 of the village code that increases minimum fines and permits daily fines for businesses that fail to obtain a required business license. Staff asked for—and the board granted—a waiver of the second reading before adopting the ordinance.
The meeting also included routine mayoral reports and approvals of raffle permits for local charitable events. No substantive debate or amendments to the items above were recorded in the transcript; votes on ordinances and the consent agenda were recorded by roll call or voice vote as noted.
