The Kyle City Council approved an ordinance Aug. 15 ordering a general election to be held Nov. 5, 2024 to elect representatives for City Council Districts 5 and 6 to serve three-year terms.
Council treated the piece as a second-reading item and voted 7-0 to approve the ordinance. Councilmember Tobias asked when voter locations and dates would be publicly available; staff said the locations were included in the meeting backup materials and would be posted to the election web page shortly.
The ordinance provides for candidate application procedures, an order and notice of election, and branch early voting locations; the council did not specify the final list of branch locations during the meeting. Staff indicated the election web page will be updated with specifics after the ordinance is finalized.
