Commissioners rescind two previously proposed appropriations from ARPA spending plan

In old business on Nov. 4, Grant County commissioners rescinded two items that had previously been submitted to the county council as part of the ARPA spending plan. The rescinded items were $500,000 for an airport sewer/water project and $200,000 for the Mill Township Fire Administration complex.
The board—s purpose was to "clean up" the spending plan so it does not list funds that are not actually available, County President said. Commissioner Bartley moved to rescind both items and the motion was seconded; the board approved the rescind by voice vote.
Staff indicated they will continue coordinating with county council and staff (including Connor Sullivan) to update the spending plan and prepare appropriate agreements or MOUs for other ARPA obligations before the Treasury deadline.
