Evansville board approves consent agenda, construction contracts and training extensions

The acting president of the Evansville board presided over routine business Tuesday, approving a packaged consent agenda that included minutes from June 27, construction contracts and staff training extensions.
The board voted to accept minutes and to approve two construction contracts with SAMM Trucking & Excavating Inc.: project 24-012, a roadway drainage contract for $80,601.50 meant to protect a roadway from deterioration, and project 24-013, a $21,500 contract to rehabilitate two stormwater inlets. Board members said paperwork was complete before voting.
Also approved were an amendment to continued internal auditor training with Tamara Masden for new hires and a set of roll permit applications (permits 1781 through 01/1997). Rebecca (first appearing SEG 078), who described the auditor training as ongoing with additional topics remaining, said the training has been “going very well.”
The board approved bills and payroll and then adjourned. There were no reported dissents on the recorded votes.
The items approved were presented as routine, and no additional conditions or follow-up reports were requested in the meeting for the construction contracts or permit approvals. The partnership agreement for a climate collaborative grant and one event request for an expanded riverfront closure were held for further review.
