Council adopts new Kyle Public Library logo; staff to roll out branding

After options presented by the library director and communications staff, council approved a modified Option 1 for the Kyle Public Library brand and asked staff to proceed with implementation and application to library materials and the mobile library.
Library Director Leslie Scott presented three logo options developed with the city communications team and the library board. The preferred design uses stylized open books forming a rising‑sun motif; staff recommended minor edits including removal of redundant initials and brighter accent color. The library board endorsed the modified Option 1.
Council moved to adopt the recommended logo for the Kyle Public Library. Members noted the design will translate well to library cards, tote bags and the mobile library vehicle. The motion passed 7–0.
Next steps: communications and library staff will proceed with a phased branding rollout, update collateral and incorporate the logo into promotional materials and the mobile library wrap.
