The commissioners agreed the idea has merit but asked staff and council members to clarify the committee’s charge and the appropriate procedural path—reporting it to council for awareness, formally creating it via the appointment process if community members are included, or using a consultant to perform similar technical work. A follow-up agenda item and coordination with city staff were suggested as next steps; no formal action or appointment was taken at the meeting.
