Houston ISD board accepts $13,544.81-plus in donations for athletics, elementary programs and DC trip

The resolution, read aloud during the meeting, lists the following contributions: Kem Solve LLC — $1,000 to the volleyball program; Mary Dodd — $100 to general donations; an anonymous donor — $300 to the elementary afternoon milk break; Jonathan and Karen Hune — $2,000 to the high school sign; Dubbit — $2,400 to the high school sign; and American Legion Post 423 — $2,844.81 for new basketball backboards and $5,000 to support a Washington, D.C., trip.
A motion to adopt the resolution was made and seconded; the board conducted a roll-call in which six members voiced “Aye.” The chair announced the motion carries.
Board members thanked donors and noted the contributions will be allocated to the programs as listed in the resolution.
