MARION COUNTY, IN โ The Marion County Commissioners on Aug. 20 approved a recorded disclaimer for Parcel 1035487, a property at 3910 East Eleventh Street that had been transferred to a local dance nonprofit in 2019.
County staff told the board the disclaimer is a stamped, recorded document from the assessor's office that confirms the nonprofit has satisfied conditions of its conditional quitclaim deed and releases the organization from those conditions so the title may remain in the nonprofit's name. Staff said the parcel was transferred to the organization on Nov. 19, 2019, and that the primary intended use is to store equipment and donated costumes.
A representative of the dance organization described the space as "still a double" and said one side is used to sort costumes while the garage stores other items. The representative called the space "a blessing" and said it has "helped a whole lot." County staff displayed before-and-after photos of the property during the presentation.
Commissioner Barbara Lawrence moved to approve the disclaimer as presented; President Joseph O'Connor seconded. The board approved the motion by voice vote. The commission recorded the action during its regular meeting in Room 260 of the City County Building.
Next procedural steps beyond the recorded disclaimer were not specified during the meeting.
