New superintendent outlines priorities as board handles routine votes and celebrates staff work

Committee and staff reports praised custodial work getting buildings ready for school; the building-and-grounds chair said the auxiliary gym floor is being repaired and will be ready for school opening. Dan Delvecchio, superintendent of the Camden County Educational Services Commission, thanked Ocean City teacher Amy Anderson for providing ASL professional development that drew positive feedback from related-services staff.
The board conducted routine roll-call votes on board resolutions for Ocean City representatives and later for the full board. The meeting transcript shows a motion and second were recorded and members voiced approvals for most items; one member recorded an abstention specifically as to J13, and another member voiced a 'no' on a related item. The board also voted to approve the July 18, 2024 regular-session minutes and the executive-session minutes from July 18.
