Student achievements, community center opening and food-service audit highlighted in superintendent’s report

The audit also cited procedural issues in preschool meal reporting (GSRP classroom counting from morning attendance rather than a required separate checklist) and a website nondiscrimination statement that was displayed as an expandable dropdown (now corrected to be immediately visible). Staff named the state reviewer as Dan Carlson from the Michigan Department of Education and described the audit as thorough.
Superintendent/staff closed by thanking Chartwell and kitchen staff and noting that most audit issues had been addressed; trustees asked clarifying questions about the auditor and expressed appreciation for the student achievements.
