The Alexandria Public School District Board approved several administrative resolutions during its meeting.
Human resources representative Jesse Deli presented a resolution recommending adjustments to substitute pay to align with neighboring districts and district wage scales. The resolution would take effect Sept. 1, 2025; the board moved, seconded and approved the recommendation by voice vote.
Administrators also presented two election‑related resolutions. The first established an absentee ballot board to administer early voting at Woodland Elementary for the district’s November election when the district’s ballot requires an early‑voting site. The second named and authorized appointment procedures for absentee election judges and UOCAVA (Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act) ballot judges to ensure service members overseas can participate. Board members asked clarifying questions about the scope of early voting (district vs. county responsibilities); administrators clarified the district will provide early voting at Woodland when the district and city ballot items warrant it and the county conducts other elections.
All motions — substitute pay, establishing the absentee ballot board and adopting UOCAVA judge procedures — were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The transcript records the motions and that they carried by voice vote; it does not include roll‑call tallies or individual recorded votes.
