Summary
District staff told the board the Appoquinimink School District will transition from eSchool to Infinite Campus this summer, with the new parent portal opening Aug. 4 and the new enrollment portal going live July 17; eSchool parent access ends Aug. 7.
Brandon Moss, the district’s supervisor of data systems, accountability and assessment, told the board on June 10 that Appoquinimink will move from eSchool to Infinite Campus as part of the Delaware Department of Education’s statewide two-wave migration.
Moss described the student information system as the central platform for enrollment, attendance, grades, schedules, demographics and state reporting. He said the Department of Education is running the statewide transition in two waves and Appoquinimink is in the second wave for the 2025–26 school year.
Key dates Moss cited for families and staff are: an Infinite Campus parent portal opening Aug. 4, eSchool Home Access closing Aug. 7 (a brief overlap anticipated) and the new Infinite Campus enrollment portal going live July 17; Appoquinimink’s current online enrollment link will be unavailable after June 12. Moss said the district has conducted two trial conversions, completed more than 800 staff online trainings, and will continue biweekly status meetings with Infinite Campus staff to prepare for a mid-to-late July go-live window.
Moss acknowledged challenges with Department of Education transportation-system integration in the first wave and said the district is preparing contingencies, including paper registration at the district office for families who need it during the outage window.
The district plans to communicate timelines directly to families through email and published materials and to provide training and a live workshop schedule for staff.
