Council approves appointments, consent agenda and several ordinances

The Lewiston City Council approved items on the consent agenda, reappointed Jessica Granger to the Disability Advisory Commission, and appointed Robert "Bob" Rogers (Audit Committee), Christine Steen and Thomas King (Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission) and Zachary Battles (Planning and Zoning Commission) to terms beginning later this year.
The consent agenda was approved as amended after removal of a vouchers-payable item for separate consideration. Clerk Brockie conducted roll calls where recorded. Appointments were moved and seconded by councilors and carried by voice vote.
Council also approved resolutions and ordinances on the active agenda, including updates to the purchasing policy (Resolution 2025-34) aligning city procurement thresholds with state statute and adoption of ordinances 49.51 and 49.52 related to tax certification and appropriation adjustments.
Next steps: Appointees will begin terms on the dates stated in their appointment motions; city staff will update commission rosters and provide onboarding as required.
