During the Sept. 15 working session the Bath County Board of Education voted to form the 2026–27 school calendar committee. Unidentified Speaker 6 said the committee would be formed in October, would conduct work in November and present a recommendation to the board in December. The motion to form the calendar committee was moved (recorded as Barbara) and seconded (Eric); the chair announced the motion carried.
Later in the meeting the board moved to go into executive session for personnel matters, specifically preliminary discussion of the superintendent evaluation and other personnel issues. The chair cited Kentucky Revised Statutes KRS 156.557(6)(a) and (c) for superintendent evaluation matters and KRS 61.810(1)(f) for personnel, and the board voted to enter executive session after a motion by Barbara and second by Carla.
No deliberations from the executive session were reported in the public portion of the meeting record; the motion passed by voice vote as recorded in the meeting transcript.
