The Bossier Parish School Board on Aug. 21 approved multiple policy and facilities measures, including the pupil progression plan for 2025–26, adoption of the final revised budget for fiscal 2024–25 and authorization of several construction projects.
Whelan Bates, assistant superintendent of curriculum, ESSA and academic affairs, presented the pupil progression plan and told the board it was developed by a committee of three principals and curriculum supervisors and had been posted for public comment. Bates said the plan “follows all the procedures with bulletin 15 66, bulletin 7 41” and recommended it for adoption. The board moved to approve and President Newman announced the motion passed.
