Separately, the council debated whether to operate the Farmers Marketplace this summer after the market manager indicated she did not want to run it. Trustees discussed recruiting a new market manager, changing dates or location, adding live music and food trucks, and seeking volunteers. No final decision was made; members agreed to table the matter and revisit in June to set July dates if a manager is found.
Parks staff noted vandalism had decreased since additional park cameras were installed and described routine maintenance tasks tied to beautification day and recent storm cleanup.
Outcome: Two wooden trains will be purchased and installed; market dates and management will be determined at a future meeting.
