Mr. Parker, representing the CCA Foundation, briefed the board on recent fundraising efforts and upcoming events that support district programs and staff.
Parker said Night of the Stars yielded new sponsor revenue for the foundation, reporting, “We brought in $9,000 for the foundation through our sponsor.” The foundation added silent auctions to its golf outing and said that Millstream Brauhaus was a notable donor who ran two days of dine‑out activity for the foundation. Foundation organizers said they sold out all 36 team slots for their golf tournament and expanded sponsor packages.
The foundation will sponsor the Clippers conservation classroom (previously a $7,500 annual cost) and expects a revised package that will reduce the foundation’s cost for the program to roughly $500 this year. The foundation also announced a free federal student aid (FAFSA) application event for CCA families on Oct. 30 at the high school; slots were reported as nearly full. Parker outlined Hall of Fame inductions planned for Oct. 24, and a change to the dine‑out schedule to avoid overlapping the staff charitable‑giving drive in December, with staff‑only donation incentives and prize drawings on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16.
Why it matters Foundation revenue supports student programs, sponsored instructional experiences and staff recognition events. Parker’s report shows both recurring and one‑time revenue strategies (dine‑outs, golf, sponsorships, auctions) that the foundation expects to scale.
Follow up Foundation leaders will continue outreach to local businesses for in‑kind and monetary support; the board requested roster and event updates as part of regular reporting.
