During the Sept. 10 meeting, the city administrator reported several unbudgeted inflows: $41,926.20 was recorded as a reimbursement to the general fund from a prior fiscal-year grant; the water fund showed $14,648.86 tied to reimbursement for a fuel shelter damaged by a semi truck; and the water and sewer fund received $648.50 from Newberg Ford as a licensing reimbursement for a public vehicle (SEG 214–236).
The administrator said auditors completed the recent audit in one day, a quicker-than-usual review, and noted ongoing work with Walt Lewandowski on the TSP and TGM grants to support downtown improvements. Public works staff (Kyle) reported the intake screen project is approximately 90% complete with concrete and forms done; final completion awaits the screen and contractor scheduling.
Council also discussed water contracts and agreed to consolidate questions and send a single list to the city attorney for review, to reduce back-and-forth legal costs; the city attorney was out for the week, and staff said answers would likely take a few days after submission to legal (SEG 1115–1163).
