LAWTON, Okla. — The Lawton Transit Trust Authority on Sept. 16 approved a resolution authorizing Donald Morrison to execute and manage Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants on behalf of the authority.
Staff explained the action is an administrative update to replace previous authorization held by Ryan Landers with the new grants manager, Donald Morrison, and is required under FTA regulations. The authority held two companion items: one to authorize the chairman to sign the FTA authorizing resolution and another to approve the interim city attorney to sign an opinion of counsel. Both items were described as routine, and roll call votes were recorded approving the authorizations.
Outcome and next steps: With the resolution approved, Morrison is authorized to sign and manage FTA grant agreements for the trust. Staff said this was a standard procedural step after a personnel change and does not itself allocate new funds.
