District outlines 2025–26 professional learning, highlights summer training and SIOP rollout

Eiseley described a multi‑phase SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) rollout through the year (SIOP 1–4), targeted school‑level series at Charlottesville High School and Walker, embedded coaching, differentiated PL for novice and experienced teachers, and ongoing supports such as instructional coaches and mentor programs. He said the division offered differentiated sessions, new educator orientation for roughly 75 new licensed staff, and that safety‑related professional learning was in schools during pre‑week.
Board members applauded the scale of offerings and asked about staffing and capacity for tier‑3 interventions; presenters said the division is monitoring where additional staff are needed and will bring formal requests through the superintendent when gaps are identified.
