The Cannabis Compliance Board voted May 15 to grant a conditional license to LimoJoint LLC for an independent consumption lounge but attached conditions and directed staff follow-up after investigators documented prior business practices.
David Staley, division chief of investigations, told the board that inquiries into LimoJoint owner Andrew Genuso showed previous sales through websites (including Trade Ready LLC) of hemp-derived products that exceeded Nevada’s THC legal limit and the sale of products containing Amanita muscaria. Staff sent a cease-and-desist to Genuso and related entities on Feb. 22, 2024; the company notified the CCB on April 1, 2024 that it had ceased those sales. In April 2025 staff again discovered mushroom products on Genuso-controlled websites; Genuso replied that Amanita muscaria products had been removed and said he would sell the websites and related businesses within 60 days if the board approved his conditional license.
Amanda Connor, counsel for LimoJoint, told the board the members were committed to operating within clear regulations and asked that concerns be addressed through conditions rather than denial. Genuso said the hemp business was sold in 2022 and that any remaining listings were removed when staff notified him.
Board members pressed on whether the prior conduct indicated an ongoing suitability risk. Member Berry moved to approve the conditional license with conditions that include further review of existing businesses; the board accepted a friendly amendment to require a staff report on the applicant’s business activities at the two-year mark. The motion carried with one recorded opposition (Member Merrick).
The conditional approval is explicitly limited: LimoJoint must still secure local approvals and pass CCB’s final inspections before conducting on-site consumption. The board noted it retains disciplinary authority if license conditions or statutes are violated.
