District has two bids for feasibility study on school consolidation; next step is town council funding decision

Superintendent Dr. Solito said the lowest bid was $75,000 and the second bid was $157,000. "Our next step in the process would be to present the bids to the town council to determine if there is funding available and if there is a desire from the town to move forward with the study at this price," he said. He added he would reach out to the town manager to schedule a presentation.
Dr. Solito characterized the cost as significant and noted the district could delay the study until budgetary implications are clearer. If the town funds the study, the district plans to convene a space‑needs committee to review options and guide any subsequent planning.
Next steps: Superintendent will contact the town manager to determine whether and when to present the bids to the Town Council; committee members will await council direction before convening the space‑needs committee.
