The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda by voice vote and then recessed into a closed executive session; when the board reconvened it announced no action had been taken.
Board member Mister Gonzales moved to approve “all of the items listed on the consent agenda,” and Miss Bedford seconded the motion. The chair called for the vote and the motion was approved by voice ('Aye'), with no roll‑call tally recorded in the transcript.
Earlier the chair noted the meeting had been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code, chapter 551). The board then recessed to a closed session the chair said was permitted under provisions of the Texas Government Code (the transcript includes additional section numbers when the provisions were cited). The chair stated no voting would occur during closed session and that any action resulting from closed‑session discussion would be taken after reconvening in open session.
The board reconvened in open session at approximately 9:08 p.m., and the chair announced that no action had been taken during the closed session. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:09 p.m.
