Metuchen, N.J. — During its Aug. 12 meeting the Metuchen Board of Education approved a slate of routine agenda items, including minutes, personnel appointments, finance and policy items and curriculum motions.
The board moved to approve the July meeting minutes by roll call; the motion carried with one recorded abstention by Mr. Lipton.
The board then approved personnel items A1 through A24 by roll call with no questions from the public during the meeting. The finance items B1 through B7 were moved as listed; during the finance discussion the board described one item that establishes a partnership with the borough to cooperatively manage recreational facilities and allocates 15% of net pilot revenue from 212 Durham Avenue (the Galton Project) to the Board of Education to help offset the costs and increased demands on school facilities resulting from nearby residential development.
