Board approves consent agenda, FY26 curriculum and personnel addendum unanimously

The board then approved the recommended FY26 curriculum (reading, writing, speaking and personal success skills) as presented. The superintendent said the curriculum recommendation aligns to Arkansas academic standards and division rules; a motion to adopt the FY26 curriculum was moved and seconded and passed unanimously.
The board added a personnel item to the agenda as an addendum, moved and seconded the addition and accepted the personnel packet and the addendum by voice vote. The chair noted that specific personnel matters would require executive session should members request further discussion.
No recorded roll-call tally was formally read for each vote during the meeting; however, a roll call earlier in the meeting showed eight board members present and the chair announced each motion passed unanimously.
