Oak Crest senior showcases student artwork, notes first AP 3‑D portfolio submission

McDowell described the school’s participation in Teen Arts and other juried events and said students entered digital, 2‑D, 3‑D, sculpture, ceramics and photography categories. She and classmates also submitted work to a congressional art competition: "Senior Samantha McDowell, myself, and Olivia, as a sophomore, painted landscape art," she said. McDowell identified her own piece as a New Jersey wetlands landscape.
On college‑level work, McDowell said AP College Board portfolios were submitted by "AP 3 d studio art senior Ryu Miyakawa" and a junior, identified in the transcript as Evan Stackhouse (transcription contained an extra word after the name). "This is our first 3 d submission ever. So good luck to them," she said; the students are awaiting AP scores.
The presentation highlighted student accomplishments across school and regional exhibitions and flagged Oak Crest’s first recorded AP 3‑D portfolio submission for the district. No board action was taken during the presentation; it served as a student report and showcase to the board.
