The council voted unanimously to accept a $38,900 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety to implement an electronic citation and crash-data collection system, a move staff said will improve crash mapping, reporting and integration with the court system. The chief told the council the grant carries no local-match requirement and will be tracked in a dedicated account.
Council members also approved $13,257.91 in parts for replacement of five damaged components at Kerr Park’s 15-year-old playground. Staff said Miracle Play Systems — the original equipment manufacturer — will supply the parts and city crews…
