Greer council approves two ordinances on second reading, holds lease-extension item at GCRA request

Minutes: The council first approved the minutes of the Aug. 26, 2025 meeting by motion and roll call.
Ordinance 21-2025 (zoning): Council considered the second and final reading of Ordinance 21-2025, an ordinance to change the zoning classification of property owned by Blake Ventura at 105 Crestview Circle from "bridal residential" to "suburban neighborhood." Staff reported no new information; the council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance on second reading by roll call.
Ordinance 22-2025 (UDO amendment): Council then took up the second and final reading of Ordinance 22-2025 to amend the City of Greer Unified Development Ordinance. Staff removed a proposed amendment related to planning commission timing and provided definitions for manufactured/mobile/modular homes under Article 8. The council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance on second reading by roll call.
Ordinance 20-2025 (lease extension): At the first-reading stage, Ordinance 20-2025, authorizing extension of leases between the City of Greer and Snow Street Apartments LP, was requested to be held over by GCRA. The council moved to hold the item and approved that request.
