Chariho authorizes $30,000 fund balance transfer to cover Relayhub fees

The Chariho School Committee on July 15 authorized a $30,000 transfer from the district fund balance to pay Relayhub for services that secure Medicare reimbursement. Administration said Relayhub charges a 4.5% fee for its services and that, to date, the district has received significantly more in reimbursements than fees paid.
Greg (facilities/finance presenter) said the district collected roughly $430,000 in reimbursements for FY25 to date and that Relayhub’s fee has been broadly offset by higher collections compared with prior years. Committee members asked whether unused transfer funds would be returned at year‑end; administration said any unspent balance would revert automatically.
The committee approved the transfer unanimously and asked staff to track payments to Relayhub separately and report back to the committee.
