Board hears facilities and finance updates, approves routine consent agenda

A facilities representative said Ranch Heights construction is on schedule and preparatory work for an elevator location is underway.
The finance speaker said the building fund was low but noted that ad valorem revenue will arrive later in the month and boost the fund. "The building fund's pretty sad, but the good news is, we get ad valorem revenue...so we will have, basically our only source of revenue come in, here in a few days," the speaker said.
Board members discussed a district-owned house by Central that is in the process of closing and city plans to demolish adjacent buildings; staff said the district will need to follow process because the district owns the property and the city does not.
Chair moved to approve the consent agenda items A–I. "I propose we approve the consent agenda items a through I as presented," a motion-maker said; the motion was seconded and carried with a series of recorded 'Aye' responses, approving the routine monthly items. The chair noted the academic calendar for 2026–27 was not uploaded and will be provided next month.
