Second, the board approved entering a contract with DuBois & King for 60% design work on the South TIF water extension in the lump sum of $216,002.96; staff said TIF district funds are available to cover the work. The 60% design includes topo/base map updates, alignment, geotechnical work and the typical suite of services to move toward final design and procurement.
During discussion Tom O’Donovan (Open Spaces/Drinking Water Committee) urged that all siting and design options remain under consideration and cautioned about long‑term energy and maintenance differences between booster pumps and storage tanks. The board voted in favor of both actions.
Next steps: DuBois & King to proceed with the modeling and to deliver the 60% design deliverables; staff will return estimates and comparative analyses to the board for any later construction or procurement votes.
