Superintendent introduced Conway, noting he began employment in the district in 2015 as an industrial technology teacher and most recently served as academic dean of students. The superintendent and board members described a comprehensive search process and screening committee; a board member who was a high-school classmate spoke in support. The motion to appoint passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The district will proceed with onboarding and assign Conway responsibilities for student support and academic programs at the high school level.
