The Bradley County Board of Education granted the executive committee authority to approve capital outlay items, with notification to the full board, while most board members attend the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) law conference in Gatlinburg from July 17–20.
The chair explained the board will not meet in July because several members will be at the conference and asked for executive approval authority for capital projects if needed, with board notification. Staff noted the items in question had already been approved, but the motion formalizes the committee’s authority to act between meetings. The board moved, seconded and approved the delegation by roll call.
