The Bradley County Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the district’s fiscal year 2026 budget at its June meeting.
During a brief discussion before the vote, a board member asked whether recent federal funding changes had materially affected the proposed budget. Staff responded that the Department of Education had indicated allocations are holding at current FY2025 levels and that the budget remained stable. After the exchange, the board moved and seconded the budget and clerk Miranda called the roll; the motion passed 7–0.
Board members did not request changes to the proposed spending plan at the meeting. The board’s action authorizes the district to proceed under the adopted FY2026 budgeting assumptions; staff will implement the budget and return to the board with any required adjustments if federal allocations change.
