The Albany City Council approved two personnel-related items and cleared the consent calendar during its Sept. 15 meeting.
Staff presented proposed amendments to the management and confidential employees benefits booklet to clarify longevity pay and uniform allowances for public-safety chiefs and to ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations §570.58. The council moved and unanimously approved Resolution 2025-62.
Staff also presented a revised salary schedule to reflect ratified memorandum-of-understanding (MOU) adjustments with APOA and SEIU, together with a 3% cost-of-living adjustment and market equity adjustments effective the first full pay period in October. The council moved and unanimously approved Resolution 2025-63; staff stated the adjustments are accommodated within current budget projections and do not require additional appropriations.
Earlier in the meeting the consent calendar was approved by a single motion with all present council members voting yes.
