Mr. Baker presented the extracurricular report, calling the activities program an "integral part" of the secondary experience and reporting 1,056 entries on activity rosters. He highlighted conference champions across athletics and speech and a strong record of team GPAs. Board members questioned how the 1,056 roster entries translate into distinct students given multi‑sport participation; Baker said many students participate in two to four activities and noted the district would provide clearer breakdowns in future reports. The presentation also flagged that Senate Bill 63 now allows homeschooled and virtual students to participate; the presenter said there were seven homeschool students currently participating.
On summer school, administrators said the program ran approximately 17 days and recorded strong elementary attendance: the goal was 400 enrolled and daily averages were about 390. The high school offered credit recovery and in‑house courses, with about 305 high‑school participants and approximately 66 students receiving credit recovery during the term. Administrators discussed ADA (average daily attendance) funding implications, launch‑vendor costs and staffing; they said final net revenue will depend on ADA calculations and vendor invoices still incoming.
Board approved the extracurricular evaluation and the summer school program evaluation (each vote recorded 6–0). Administrators said they will tighten communication consistency (newsletters, Seesaw, email) and better integrate Canvas and PowerSchool grading for future summers.
