Sweetwater commission confirms multiple appointments, approves ordinances and rezoning

Appointments approved included the reappointment of Jennifer Waller to the Tree Board and the appointments of Paul Dacus and Nick Farrell to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The commission appointed Steve Hearn to the Historic Zoning Commission and Tony Wilson to the Building Codes Board of Review. For the Heritage Museum Board, Jeff Brewster and Pidge Collette were reappointed and Lou Lovingood was appointed.
Separately, commissioners moved to approve Ordinances 1053 and 1054 subject to the city attorney completing required preambles; both passed on roll-call. The commission also approved Ordinance 1055, which implements a rezoning from R-2 to C-3, with the required roll-call vote.
Votes on each appointment and ordinance were recorded during the meeting and the mayor announced the motions carried. Where roll-call was required by charter, commissioners were recorded as voting 'Aye' for each item.
