The Seminole governing body voted on July 8 to approve a five‑year sublease with Kenny Taylor of Taylor Aviation to operate as the fixed‑base operator at Seminole Municipal Airport.
During the discussion a council member asked whether Taylor’s arrangement was a sublease from another tenant or a direct sublease from the city. Staff clarified that the sublease is with Kenny Taylor and that current arrangements had been yearly; the approved sublease extends the term to five years. One councilor summarized: “So the sublease is with Kenny Taylor of Taylor Aviation to operate it,” and staff confirmed the lease remains with Taylor Aviation while the operational sublease covers Mr. Taylor’s role.
Councilors moved, seconded and approved the sublease by roll call. The motion passed and the longer term is expected to provide the operator with greater stability for airport operations going forward.
