Laurens City Council approves planning commission appointments, adds executive session

Laurens City Council approved a set of routine actions at its September meeting, including a resolution appointing members to the Laurens City Planning Commission, approval of last month’s minutes and an amendment to add an executive session to discuss a personnel matter.

The council approved Resolution 9-25-1, appointing two nominees to fill two vacancies on the planning commission. The presiding official said there were two candidates for two seats and that each candidate’s background was impressive. "We are happy to bring this recommendation to city council," the presiding official said.
