Separately, the commission approved a purchase agreement authorizing the county mayor to execute documents to buy, from the school board, the EMS site in Kingston Springs that the county currently leases. The purchase price recorded in the discussion was a nominal $10. Commissioners approved the purchase and authorized the mayor to sign any necessary closing documents by roll call vote.
The purchases and contracts will be implemented through the appropriate county departments and the mayor's office will coordinate documentation and next steps.
