At the Feb. 11 meeting the Casa Grande Union High School District board took several procedural actions including a meeting‑date change, acceptance of donations and approval of the consent agenda.
Superintendent Lavender recommended moving the March board meeting from March 10 (the first day of spring break) to March 3 so the board could avoid conflict with spring‑break travel and to allow counsel to attend an executive session on proposed boundary discussions with Maricopa School District and the elementary school district. A motion to change the date was made, seconded and approved on a roll‑call vote.
Lavender then read a list of donations to programs across the district — including monetary gifts to boys and girls soccer, robotics, football, CTE engineering labs, and in‑kind donations (a 2024 Pathfinder passenger door, metal cutting saw blade, and a baby grand piano valued at $4,000) — and recommended the board accept them. The board moved, seconded and approved the donations.
Finally, the consent agenda was presented for a single‑motion approval. The board approved the consent agenda in one motion; the transcript records one board member (Mister Dunn) voting 'No' and the remaining members voting 'Yes.'
