During its Sept. 11 meeting, the Cannon County Board of Education approved a slate of routine and specific items by roll call.
The consent agenda was approved by unanimous vote. The board also reconsidered and then reapproved a consent agenda item (item 2C) from the Aug. 14 meeting after a motion and discussion.
The board approved Resolution POE for the 2025–26 year, amendments number 3 and 4, by unanimous roll call. Members also approved Canon North PTO’s request to list the school on a separate 501(c)(3) bank account and clarified that fundraisers must continue to follow the district’s school support organization policy.
Board members granted permission to apply for a $5,000 STEM grant to support hands‑on classroom experiences; the staff member presenting said regional volunteer organizations will assist teachers. Finally, the board approved district supervisors, principals and assistant principals to serve as needed on the DHA for the 2025–26 school year.
All approved items were recorded by roll call during the meeting; where packets or staff presentations were referenced, the board indicated those materials were included in the meeting packet.
