Boyle County Fiscal Court approves $4.31 million in bills, transfers and several purchases

Judge Trillie L. Bonham, Boyle County judge executive, presided over routine approvals, including the Aug. 26 minutes and budget transfers of $7,043.60. The court then approved cash transfers reported by county staff: $750,000 from the general fund to an interest-bearing account, $200,000 to the jail fund, and $10,000 to the fleet account.
County finance staff presented the bills package, which includes transfers of occupational-tax proceeds to the city of Danville and multiple fleet purchases. The court approved payment of the bills after brief discussion. "A large percentage of this is the transfer of net profits and other taxes to the city of Danville," a magistrate noted during the review.
The court approved a low bid for a utility trailer: an Aardvark tilt trailer with hydraulic jacks for $14,690, with title and license to be paid on delivery. The court also voted to adopt a fall paving list focused on work in specific magistrate districts; magistrates asked follow-up questions about emergency road damage reported by a constituent.
County Administrator Julie Wagner requested, and the court approved, payment of a $375 fee to submit Part 3 of a tax-credit application to the Kentucky Heritage Council. The court also authorized staff to proceed with including a county Main Street lot in a neighboring house sale after a realtor indicated combined listing could improve marketability.
