Beauregard Parish School Board recognizes Andrea Ferguson for statewide school-nurse emergency-care instructor credential

The Beauregard Parish School Board publicly recognized Andrea Ferguson, a registered nurse who has served the district for more than two decades, after she completed the School Nurse Emergency Care (SNEC) instructor course.
A presenter outlined Ferguson's credentials, noting her decades of service in the parish, roles as an American Heart Association basic life-support instructor and as a leader in the Louisiana and national school-nurse organizations. The presenter said Ferguson was the first school nurse in Louisiana to receive the SNEC instructor credential and that she intends to bring the course to other school nurses across the state.
"We are very fortunate to have Miss Ferguson on our team," the presenter said, describing her work adapting course material to Louisiana laws and procedures and praising her long service to the district.
The board and superintendent invited Ferguson forward for a photo and public acknowledgement.
