EMS and 9-1-1 report increased activity and revenue collections in August

Arden County EMS reported 1,331 dispatches in August and higher collections year to date; the 9-1-1 center said it answered 4,402 911 calls in August and provided a breakdown of calls by agency.
Arden County EMS and the Hardin County 9-1-1 center presented August activity reports to the fiscal court, showing continued service demand and modest revenue increases.
Arden County EMS Director Mark Peterson reported 1,331 dispatches in August (1,322 classified as 9-1-1), 152 cancellations, and fiscal-year-to-date dispatches totaling roughly 2,700. Collections for the month were about $619,470, an increase of roughly $115,000 over the same period last year; fiscal year-to-date collections were up approximately $256,000.
Mike Leo, who presented the 9-1-1 center report, said the center answered 4,402 911 calls in August and handled 6,026 administrative calls. Leo provided an agency breakdown of dispatches showing EMS at about 31.7%, Radcliffe Police at about 29.8% and the sheriff’s office at 21.2%.
Peterson invited the public to an Arden County EMS trunk-or-treat on Oct. 11 at the EMS station. Court members thanked EMS and 9-1-1 staff for their work.
The reports were informational and were followed by routine agenda items and votes.
