The Nevada State Board of Examiners on Sept. 9 approved a slate of procurement and budget actions, including large vehicle purchases for several state agencies, a recommendation to the Interim Finance Committee for wildland fire engines, the designation of more than $16 million in uncollectible debt, and multiple lease and contract approvals.
Board staff told members the Department of Administration’s Fleet Service Division requested authorization to purchase 274 vehicles statewide for an amount not to exceed $13,131,324. Other requests approved included nine vehicles for the Department of Wildlife ($408,316); one for the Colorado River Commission ($62,540); two for the Department of Agriculture ($205,746); six for the Division of Forestry ($2,591,170); and 71 for the Division of State Parks ($5,276,809).
