At the Sept. 8 council meeting, staff reported year-to-date sales-tax figures and provided an update on local infrastructure projects.
Speaker 4 presented comparative slides showing a sharp month-to-month variance on one slide but said overall the city is approximately $54,500 under annual budget projections. He reported an average distribution of about $44,000 per month across recent months for general and public-safety funds.
On capital projects, Speaker 4 updated the council on a Harrison Park walking-bridge and associated trail connection. He said the walking bridge would span roughly 75 feet across a drainage channel and that the parking/bridge project is nearing completion; no construction timeline or funding vote was taken at the meeting.
Council members did not move to amend the budget during the session; staff said they continue monitoring revenue and project costs and will return with further details when available.
