Councilor Wesley Butler said the commission appears more active outside formal meetings—using a weekly group chat and organizing monthly cleanups and event support downtown—but vacancies and meeting-time conflicts remain. Butler said school-district representatives, including Melissa Eggert, have resumed attending some activities.
No formal policy change was adopted during the session; staff will monitor applicant readiness and notify the committee before scheduling future interview meetings.
